New to birding, song I couldn't identify (1 Viewer)

I have just started birding and there was one bird song today that my Merlin app refused to hear. I have done my best (but very bad) impression. It had a song kinda like a police siren it does 5 wee woos then stays quiet for about 5 mins before doing it again. I heard it on the edge of Breney common in mid Cornwall.

Anyone have any ideas?

Love it!
And my genuine suggestion is Coal Tit - they've just started singing again the last few days.
I'll have a rummage ont tintrynet for a link. πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ¦πŸ‘Œ

Bear in mind that Coal Tits vary. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ¦
Oh, also - what habitat? Scots Pines etc?..
Thanks Jo, I think that is a possibility, the Merlin app had picked up a coal tit earlier on my stroll around the common. This one was lower pitched and slower but if they vary like you say then this could be right. The habitat was quite varied, the common is ponds and wetlands surrounded by woods (not pine) and farmland before rising up to a tor on some scrubland. Helman Tor | Cornwall Wildlife Trust
