I live at the Southern end of the Pentland hills.
Now retired.
Life long birder (Kowa scope, Swarovski & Leica bins) - I'm looking to get into Digiscoping birds (& beasts) as a retirement hobby.

To this end I'm contemplating acquiring a mirrorless camera + lens to go with my TSN 884
Needs to be fairly weatherproof, light and easy to learn how to use.
Thinking about a Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III + a Kowa TSN-DA10 + TSN-AR adaptor.

Not sure what lens to use - prime or compact zoom? Eager to learn but the price of good gear means trial error is not the way to go! So need others to share their hands on experience!!

Looking forward to learning!

Brims.

Hi Brims and a warm welcome from all the Staff and Moderators.

For answers to your digiscoping questions you would be better to post in the dedicated forum for this: The Birdforum Digiscoping Forum I hope we may see some of your pictures in the Gallery too.

All things Scottish can be found here. Keep an eye on threads titled Scottish Bashes, we used to have one or two meetings each year and they were all great fun. Maybe we'll be able to start them up again before too long.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.
