Nikon ED82 A - go with Nikon FSB-6 and Coolpix 5100 or iPhone 13 Pro? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

So I have a Nikon ED82 A which has not been getting a lot of use lately so thinking of trying some digiscoping - also hoping to use it on a trip to Vancouver Island later on in the year. The scope has a x30 WF eyepiece.

The question is do I go with getting some form of reasonable setup for the iPhone 13 Pro or just hit up Ebay for the coolpix and adapter for about £50. If I went the iPhone route any suggestion for a good case / adapter combination in the UK?

Any advice much appreciated.

I recommend this, works with every phone and every scope - the only one that does as far as I am aware.

That looks ideal and ironically I am sure I brought the scope and tripod from Viking many moons ago.

Use with the iPhone 13 Pro. The 5100 is ancient and have used it for many times. Not comparable with iPhone for pics and video quality
