Nikon EDG 7x42 wandering diopter (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I've noticed a bit of creep in the diopter of my EDG 7x42s and found this 10 year old thread

Nikon EDG I diopter drift solution

I was wondering if anyone has found any other fixes or if anyone had worked out exactly what causes the problem in the intervening decade.

Any ideas?

Best wishes

The issue is likely internal. Since you are in he UK, I would send them in since Nikon seems to service the EDG models over there unlike here in the US.

Thank you dries1. That's good to know. I had assumed they wouldn't.
Mind you, I am not the first owner so I expect I will have to pay for the privilege but it's worth a try.
👍
