[Norway] What crossbill? (1 Viewer)

Not sure if it's a Red (Common) or Parrot Crossbill. Taken in Southern Norway (Oslo region), June 2021. Coniferous forest clearing.

Bill doesn't look thick enough to be a parrot crossbill for me, but the two species do look very similar

I see them on Pines all the time in Russia

Yep, Common Crossbills tend to sit on all kinds of trees - even deciduous, if they feel fancy!

I had two males on top of an ornamental cherry tree in my garden earlier this year!
