Pair of waders, Cairns, Australia (1 Viewer)

I lived in Cairns for 15 years. You're correct on both IDs. RN Stints are common there. Sharpies used to be very common, but have declined in numbers in recent years. Having said that, that is clearly a Sharpie.

The Conservation Status of Red-necked Stints is now Near-Threatened and of Sharpies, Vulnerable; both are trending downwards.
