Patching Hurstpierpoint (1 Viewer)

Some cracking Barn Owl action, just down the road yesterday, lovely light as well! Pair of Stonechat was nice to see locally as well. Yellowhammers proved elusive until last knockings when a couple appeared out of nowhere! A lot more Owl pics on the Blog!

No sign of the Barn Owl at the end of Bullfinch Lane yesterday evening, nice Yellowhammer, a couple of Mistle Thrushes and a flock of 11 Pied Wagtails the best of a quiet walk

Bullfinch Lane again, 4 Yellowhammers which was a relief and several Chiffchaffs have arrived, distant views of a Barn Owl, the light was poor on Saturday so pics are poor!

Sparrowhawk in the garden this afternoon, stunning male, caught a Starling and then ate it on the lawn. Constantly on the look out, demolished the whole thing in about an hour! More pics on the blog, some of which are a bit gory.

Quick visit just down the road to Woods Mill, Nightingales gave the odd burst of song, bit late/ not late enough in the day for em. Reed Warblers and Common Whitethroat were putting a bit more effort in and a relatively showy Cetti's Warbler still managed to evade my camera, there was also a Redstart calling in the woods out the back but couldn't get eyes on it! Few more pics on the Blog at the link
