"porshe" spider on Discovery Channel????

Just watched a facinating programme on the discovery channel about spiders.
One of the featured spiders was called ,I think Porche. It planned it's attack on other spiders very carefully. Does anybody know whether this is it's real name or does it have an official name and where does this facinating spider come from ??

Hi,

Its Portia, and its a genus of spider.
Look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portia_(genus)

This may have been the same programme that was on BBC last month. May have been Wildlife on One, with David Attenborough?

I agree, they're fascinating little spiders. We have a similar species in the uk: Zebra/Jumping spider. They certainly give the impression of intelligence with the way they follow your finger with their gaze.

If you type 'jumping spider' on a google search, I'm sure you'll find some good images.
