Possible American Pipit (1 Viewer)

I saw this bird at Morton Arboretum in United States, Illinois, western suburbs of Chicago. I think it may be an American Pipit. But when I looked up info on it, it says it is less than 7 inches. I read House Sparrow are 6 inches, and this looked much bigger than a House Sparrow, maybe as big as a Common grackle or American Robin, 11 inches or more. The color was almost olive which matches the American Pipit and the color pattern is similar, but the white stripe on the head seems more prominent than pictures I have seen. The pictures are from today, 10/27/2019. I took them from a distance in my car, because I knew as soon as I got out, they would fly away.

Thanks so much. I never knew there was a different colored female Red-winged Blackbird and I grew up seeing many male Red-winged Blackbirds on the side of the road on my trips south about 100 miles to Melvin, Illinois.
