Seal ID Lincs Coast (1 Viewer)

This is probably a daft question but is this a Common or Grey Seal. The photo was taken on 15/2/12 at Saltfleet Haven.

I thought it was a Common then decided it was a Grey and now have no idea. Thought my bird id was bad...!!

I'd call that a Grey, but it is a strange angle!

I would go with Grey as well

I went for the same but, as John said, they can actually be surprisingly tricky if the head is at the 'wrong' angle.

Thank god it wasn't just me...!!

Unfortunately it never let me get ahead of it and only once or twice actually turned to look at me.

Great experience though, and not one I was expecting.
