Spare day in Vancouver area (1 Viewer)

I'm going to a conference in Vancouver next week and have a spare day at the end (until 6 p.m. anyway). Car hire turned out to be pretty cheap (£21) so I have transport any tips on where to find good birds in the area. I've been to the US before (California) but not Canada and neither in Summer so any summer migrants or Canadian specialities would be good.

Dawsy,
I can't give you any real info here as I am also just planning my first trip to this area. However, I did find a good birding website for British Colombia which is Birding in British Colombia .

I'll also be watching this thread for any additional info from BF members.
