The Maltese Countryside - Buskett Woodland (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

For those that are familiar with the local scene, Buskett brings grim memories of birds of prey being shot down here, a sight that until a decade or so ago was common. Buskett used to be a black spot for birds of prey, now thanks to the efforts of Birdlife Malta, it's gun-free and raptors can seek refuge here in peace during the migration period.

Here is a video that brings out the true and real beauty of Buskett during the winter !!

Great news and what a lovely place! Some of the places and some of the flora shown are comparable to areas of near-coastal Algarve.

Hey Simon !! glad you liked it :) Yep indeed, the vegetation and climate are very similar !!

I will be uplaoding some videos about birdwatching in spain after heading to a trip to Gallocanta, Ebro delta and El hondo last december....i'll post them here when they are ready ;)
