Hi. Is this a normal 1st-winter male or a sub-adult female Red-throated Thrush?
Or male Red-throated Thrush X Black-throated Thrush?
Or male Red-throated Thrush X Naumann's Thrush?
Or male Black-throated Thrush X Naumann's Thrush?

Location: Shogran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Date: April 2021

Please help, I'd really appreciate your input to help me solve this complex. Only one image is available, unfortunately.

Much thanks :)

Hi Azan,

I’ll take a stab at this and “suggest” a Red-Throated x Black-Throated intergrade, as to gender, unsure if it can be ID’d on this image alone?

I’m sure some Asian experts will be along soon.

Cheers

Agree.
The fact thay hybridisation is so common between these two species, wouldn't be surprised to see them re-lumped?
