Two Birds in Thailand need identifying. (1 Viewer)

This one was deep inside this tree, so not good on exposure. Yellow plumage with speckled belly. Cannot find in my bird book, its about the size of a parakeet. The second was a raptor that was flying high overhead, believe to be a Shikra Hawk, but can someone confirm.

First is an oriole, probably Black Naped Oriole (female or immature) and second looks good for Shikra...
I'm far from being an expert on birds of this region though.

Thanks Val35, I can now google or look on the local websites for an Oriole, and I think the Shikra is a migratory bird in this area. Will do some more research.

Ok, can confirm it was a Black Naped Oriole I saw, probably a juvenile as Val35 stated. Will keep an eye out in the area I saw it, and try to get a better shot next time.

To add on, this is a juvenile Black-naped Oriole of the subspecies diffusus, which has been proposed to be split into a new species. Agreed that the second bird looks good for a Shikra, looks like a male.
