It's only Rock and Roller but I like it
Today has seen a substantial inland movement of terns (Black, Little, Arctic, Common) and waders (Bar-tailed Godwit, Turnstone, Whimbrel, Greenshank, Temminck's Stint, Ruff, Knot, Sanderling, Grey Plover, Greenshank, Little Stint, Redshank etc). As is typical with such passages Upton has scored with some elements but not others.
Suitable conditions for further movement continue throughout tomorrow - winds remain easterly or ENE with temperatures slightly warmer than today. Rain continues this evening until 10 and starts again at 4am until 9am. Cloud cover is present throughout the day with further showers from 5pm until dusk.
The Wednesday crew is depleted tomorrow with the two John's (Sirrett and Ridley) both absent so any additional coverage would be very welcome, especially if anyone can call in before work.
