What is the most common bird in Pennsylvania? (2 Viewers)

Just wondering what is the most common bird. I was looking online, most websites say that the Northern Cardinal is the most popular but then if you look at eBird sightings it shows the Common Grackle as having over 4 million sightings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

House Sparrow is probably more abundant than Common Grackles, but European Starling and feral Pigeon may also be contenders.
That said, I don't know of any sustained efforts to count actual numbers of birds aside from the Christmas Bird Count.
Given migration and seasonality, it is not a simple task.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed, this was my thought process. I am trying to collate data from the main studies in North America, but the results seem to vary so much so it's difficult to come up with a conclusive answer.
