Which binocular(s) did you use today? (3 Viewers)

Ran out last night after sunset to look at the grouping of Venus, Mars, the cresent Moon, and Mercury. It had to be 30 minutes after sunset, so I ran out quickly and grabbed my 8x42 SF's. (I think was a "tell" on my go-to bino btw).

There was haze and smoke from the boreal forests burning up, Mercury was lost in the haze but I bagged Mars, Venus, Regulus and enjoyed seeing the sliver of the crescent Moon. With the no-see-ums from the salt marsh dining on me I gave up on Mercury after 15 minutes (sorry, no pic of the binos today, no time :().

This view will be there again tonight - excellent chance to spot Mercury - you need a clear view down to the western horizon:

Used my Sig Sauer Zulu 6 16x42 to observe soaring Bald Eagles at over a mile away and I could clearly see them with a lot of detail. With a normal 8x binocular, you would see a black spot.

Ok how much Dennis? You know your selling, let’s get down to business 🤔
Here is a SIG Sauer Zulu 6 16x42 on an eBay auction. Put a bid in on it. You might get it cheap. If you get it I am sure I will see your Noctivid in the classifieds tomorrow. :ROFLMAO:

Master Po, why would I sell the Nocs if I bought the Zulus? I’d keep them so I’m not neurotic by selling them and have buy them again , you know like some people here 😛. I wonder who that could be.

I don't know, maybe I should have bought a cannon along....

Conwy castle on the north west coast of Wales, quite correct on the flag! Kids love a castle, I like a view and the wife likes a gift shop so we visit plenty of castles!

I suspect that when Edward had them built, they had all the comforts of a parking garage.

They are magnificent, in spite of it.

Winterfell in real life.

I'd blatantly put a Swarovski st vista at the top of a castle if I was building one - I guess if you can afford a castle a vistas small change.

I have never looked through a Habicht, but it must be quite an experience.

I sat and thought, what do I like so much about this new Habicht 7x42? ...Precisely these poor quality specifications and the simplicity of the mechanical and optical construction seem to reduce these binoculars to a kind of essence. These essences paradoxically attract me because, by antithesis, this seem to emphasize even more the clarity and fantastic transmission of these beautiful binoculars.

It's about the simple things that are refined to the extreme.

It is about modern optical performance in the shirt of tradition.

The new Swarovski Habicht 7x42 porro is a classic still alive! I like that these binoculars are manufactured in small quantities only when there are many requests. I waited about two months for the production to be finished. These are no ordinary stock binoculars
