Hmmmm... do we have a red-face emoji!!!

Now it's daylight, I thought I'd double-check the batteries were both in the right way round. Grrrr had it wrong, didn't I.

Trouble is the keyboard is black and the + is just a tiny raised mark, so also in black.

I'm back in action but thanks all of you for the help and guidance you've given me.
Well done, Delia. Most of us have been there. I think I have the T Shirt.

.... or.... copy a space from some text. Store it somewhere so that you can paste it in. Easier if you have a programme like Phrase Express.

One observation I've made after having a wireless keyboard (Satechi brand) and wireless Magic Mouse for my Mac mini, is the mouse needs charging a lot more frequently than the keyboard - I guess it must use a lot more power. The downside is at this precise moment I can't recall where the micro-USB keyboard cable is, so I'm going to panic when it finally needs charging up...

I'm sure the senior moment has a junior equivalent to it like trying to degas a 2-litre bottle of carbonated water by shaking it over the computer and myself before realising it's been open all along.
