Hi Shellybean and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I've moved your post to the Binocular forum, as they're better placed to be able to help you with your questions.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

I looked up a couple of Zenith Tempest binoculars on Ebay and such. They had the same printing as yours did. They were all from Japan, manufactured for export. Just as an interesting fact, you can hold the binoculars about a half meter from your eyes and you can look at the eyepieces. If you see little square lighted images then the prisms in the binoculars is of a glass called Bk7. If the little lights are round, then the prisms are of a glass called Bak-4, which even better.

As to value, it depends on your neighborhood. First, they should be working fine. When you put them to your eyes, do they give an easy focused image? Can you see various distances by moving the round focuser?

They should be worth a moderate amount as a good working binoculars. In US $ it might be 20 to 40. You would have to find out what your neighbors would want to pay.

Rob.
