Identification
16-19 cm.
Distribution
Bismarck Archipelago, Louisiade Archipelago and Tabar Island
Taxonomy
Sometimes regarded conspecific with Golden Whistler.
Now split into three species by Clements.
Subspecies
- P. c. tabarensis: Tabar Island (Papua New Guinea)
- P. c. ottomeyeri: Lihir Islands (Bismarck Archipelago)
- P. c. goodsoni: Admiralty Islands (Bismarck Archipelago)
- P. c. citreogaster: New Hanover, New Britain and New Ireland Islands (Bismarck Archipelago)
- P. c. sexuvaria: St. Matthias Islands (Bismarck Archipelago)
- P. c. collaris: Louisiade Archipelago
- P. c. misimae: Misima Island (Louisiade Archipelago)
- P. c. rosseliana: Rossel Island (Louisiade Archipelago)

Behaviour
Feeds mainly on insects and spiders.
