Stock Dove.
After Llangorse, we moved down to Llanfihangel Gobion outside Abergavenny. I've taken you there before, as it's a great place to visit on the banks of the river Usk and Jos Stratford's patch when he lived in the area. No sign of Cormorant on the power lines this time.

Now all these year's of birding and I've never been able to pick out a Stock Dove, though Andy has pointed them out for me in the past when they've flown over, I just couldn't manage to see any for myself.

So this day, one flew over and landed at the top of a tree, fairly distant, but I thought I'd have a go at a pic and this was the result... and I can actually make out the diagnostic dark primaries.

This has now become my latest Lifer! Not the best of pictures, but the only one I've got.
