A huge improvement here too. Milder, around 11 degrees, no wind and FOG. (Seems fog attracts moths!)
Around 80 moths in the trap, some very lively, a few escaped. 23 Shuttle-shaped Darts. A decent number of "new for year" which were:
Udea ferrugalis (Rusty dot pearl)
Evergestis extimalis
Evergestis forficaclis (Garden Pebble)
Buff Ermine (2)
White Ermine
Poplar Hawkmoth (2)
Bright-line Brown-eye (2)
Vine's Rustic
Heart & Dart (2)
Mullein Wave
Orange Footman |=)|
Common Wave
Tawny Shears
Grey Pine Carpet (2)
Common Wainscot
Cabbage Moth
Purple Bar
Oak-tree Pug (I'm pretty sure).
some pugs to sort and a handful of micros to try and work out.
Only one cockchafer:eek!:
