    Managed 70 today in Devon, including Grey Phalarope, Black-Necked Grebe and Cirl Bunting...... then realised this evening that I didn't get House Sparrow!

    The juv Woodchat Shrike was east of the road again this morning, showing pretty well in the trees around the house there (Furzedown, I think its called). It was being mobbed quite a bit, including a Cirl bunting at one point. Had more Cirl Buntings, a Dartford Warbler and a Firecrest later...

    It was my birthday yesterday, so headed to DW pretty late after a heavy Saturday night on the tiles.... But the gods were smiling on me obviously; just got there in time for cracking views of the Greenland Lake Wryneck, and then caught up with the BB Sand on the beach before if disappeared...

    I so nearly went up to Bursdon yesterday, but gave the idea up as a bad job! Spent fruitless couple of hours instead looking for Goshawk on Dartmoor. Only tick added, 16 Common Crossbill - 110 Devon rubbish.

    Your best bird seen today.

    Mine too Rob! Had the long stayer at Brixham harbour flying round my head, then perching about 10 feet away, waiting for bread I suspect. I still watched with my bins though, gorgeous!
