8th February 2013 Unforgetable Day

Weather was cool but dry with a cool wind. A return visit to Rabbit Ings was arranged after further information was received regarding the owl roost.

Unfortunately the path was extremely muddy and I was tripped by a bramble shoot and went face down in the mud, thankfully after I had viewed my latest lifer.

A day to remember for all the right and wrong reasons, it did cause alot of laughter, even from me.

First day of spring.Weather was sunny with a very cold wind .
The high rainfall caused serve flooding at this location all year. Curtailing the breeding season with washed out nests. Normally very good for wildfowl and waders the falling water levels are improving this great site.
