Birding Field Guides Available In Kuching (1 Viewer)

Hey all,

Next week I'm moving to Sabah, where I'll be lucky enough to live for the next year or so. I'm coming directly from Vietnam to Kuching, where I'll have a few days, and I was wandering whether any of Borneo Birding Guides are available in book shops there.

I'm particularly looking for the field guide by Phillips

Hi Macanche. I don't know about Kuching but you could order it from a book store in KK - I know they have them there but can't remember the name of the store. You may also be able to find them at the airport bookshop.

It is actually cheaper on Amazon (USA) though than in Sabah so if you have somewhere to get it sent to that might be the best way (check if the P&P takes it over the Sabaj price though) - order it now and you should have it soon. Myers is also good if you can't find the Phillipps (Myers better for showing juveniles and winter/summer plumage but otherwise I like the Phillipps book more).
