greetings all,has anyone has any experiance using the slc 10+42 binoculars in less than desireble light conditions?.i have a friend who has been tempted by an old model reduced pair of swarovski slc 10+42's.all the 7+42's have all been snatched up[probably by you lot lol],the bins would be used in all conditions, especialy winter raptor roosts, owling etc.any advice welcomed.

Greetings Matt,

I use the SLC 10x42 all the time .... day and nite . Everyone see differently so the only way to know is to try them . If you're unsure, buy from a retailer like Cabelas that has a good customer satisfaction policy. Get them while you can !

For use in the dark I would prefer a greater FOV than a 10x42 can offer. However, the SLC is one of the best 10x42 available. Your friend should make sure that it´s the version with the Swarobright coatings. These coatings were introduced around 2000.
