The Starling nests emptied and they descend on my garden in their droves! Here's two of them waiting hungrily for an adult to come with some food. You may be able to judge just how steep that slope is that they're on. My new pole feeder is just to the right of them. TTTW- delia todd

First of the fledglings
Mid may and here were the first fledglings I'd seen so far. Two little House Sparrows waiting patiently. The adults were on the ground below getting seeds that I'd thrown out. TTTW- delia todd

So now go and get your own! Looks like mum is showing the bairn what it is that he needs to find, doesn't it. I think that's one of the pink nibble thingy's, it doesn't look like a grape. Starling Fledglings
First youngster showed up yesterday... five days earlier than last year. Not great light, but showing what they do as soon as they arrive: head for the bird baths or a muddy puddle.
