Snowy Owl this weekend in Illinois. I promise I wont over post lol. It was an amazing experience, however as I was photographing one which is rare enough in my area and then he got into a battle with another male! Once in a lifetime beautiful sunset session for me.

In Jan My husband and I found a "Wing Tagged" female. We reported her to find out where she was from. She is from the USA and her name is "Azgone". She is about 6 yrs old. So we decided we would try again yesterday...we found her. Was SO exciting.

Just finished this composition depicting a snowy owl with its chicks at nest.I used this almost monochromatic technique , and it seems to me that it worked..I hope, you`ll like it!

Lucky enough to capture this beauty while at the reserve...he stayed there long enough to pose for several shots of him.

When you can photograph one of these and turn around to get some shots of a Bald Eagle flyover, it is a good day!

Recently discovered that Plum Island, Massachusetts (according to Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Ebird) is the hottest hotspot for birding in the whole USA--369 species!

You can distinguish a female SO from a male if there are dashes in the middle secondary feathers (not dots as in a male; compare this with the dots in the photo of the male at http://www.birdforum.net/opus/images/3/3f/SnowyGrassFlight.jpg). Check that out in this photo.
