Advice needed for North Tunisia! (1 Viewer)

I work for Birdlife Malta, and I will be visiting Tunisia in mid October. I am travelling with 3 friends (one of whom also works for Birdlife), and our plan is to start off in Tunis, before hiring a car and travelling North to Lake Ickeul/Bizerte area.

Might anyone be able to recommend us some good birding sites in this region from Tunis to Ickeul? In particular, my friend and I would like to spot Marbled Teal and White Headed Duck if they are around.

Finally, we were considering exploring the pine forests North of Ickeul, where there might be Woodpeckers and raptors. Would this be advisable?

If anybody could help me out, that would be great!

Cheers, Tom
