It’s actually a prefecture to the north of Tokyo where they made the much despised political blunder of combining Omiya, Urawa and Yono into a larger metropolis. The first two cities fought over which city name should be applied to all three and when no consensus could be made they came up with simply naming it after the unpopular and poorly executed decision. If you go there most people, other than foreigners, are going to say Omiya or Urawa.The instrument has "Made in Saitama" written on it, which is a town in Japan.
