Binocular upgrade (1 Viewer)

I supposedly sent an email to Zeiss requesting information on how to get extended eyecups for my 8X32 SF.

Silence followed.
I actually spoke to them, a very nice man in NY picked up the phone. I asked about longer ones for the 8x42SF, he laughed and said, wow, we get requests for longer eyeguards on the Conquest, but you're the FIRST person who's ever mentioned it for the SF's"

I told him they were perfect when I unscrewed them 1mm-2mm out...thinking one more clickstop would be good - he advised me NOT to unscrew the cups, warning me they could fall off in the field. Not sure what he expected me to do with them....

Did he offer to send you longer ones?

No, the whole point was, they don't offer longer ones for the SF's, just the Conquest. There's nothing to be done but unscrew them and use o-rings to help hold them in place. It's working OK, I unscrew them 1-1.5 rotations, it takes 5 rotations to completely unscrew & remove them
