Blogspot editing buttons (1 Viewer)

My shiny new blog http://guestwickpromises.blogspot.com has been working a treat - so far blogspot seem very good hosts. However, today I can't see my editting buttons (Bold, Italic, picture upload etc) or the tab to go to HTML, which means I can't add any links.

I've e-mailed their help desk but they have a huge nuber of users so I don't anticipate them getting back too quickly. I've also looked on their known issues page and nothing has been reported so far.

I was just wondering if any other blogspot.com users could tell me if they are having the same issue today or if it likely to be a problem at my end.

Just logged into mine, no problems at all.

The editing buttons are usually the last bit to load... your ISP could be a bit slow today so it's timing out before loading perhaps.

Rats - I suspect it is me then. Things seem to be loading fast enough at this end, it goes to "Done" at a normal speed.

I was messing around with Netscape 7.5 and the Wanadoo web page creator yesterday, I'm inspired to try some "proper" webpage building. My nagging thought is that one of them has upset the apple cart.

But I keep thinking that that can't be possible as blogspot is all done on line as we do here on BF.

Any thoughts anyone?

Are you looking in Netscape rather than IE? That could be the problem as IE is the only browser that officially works (although it's fine in Firefox).
Or it could be something such as Javascript has managed to get turned off in the browser settings or something similar.

Just clutching at straws though.

Aha! Blogspot got back to me and

Currently, the rich text editing features are not appearing for some users
who are viewing Blogger in languages other than English. We are working on
this issue and will get it fixed as soon as possible. In the meantime,
changing your interface language should help you get around this problem.

I looked and the language I had selected was English (UK). I switched it to English and that has made all the difference - the buttons are back. Phewee!
