Nice guesses JKB, but sorry, no eiders or egrets here.

Looks like some clue giving is in order....

#1, this bird is named after a mythological giant with 100 eyes.

#3, think glasses, the kind you wear on your head.

#4, this bird dives, photographed on the Puget Sound.

#5, think Laridae.

Great guess Flemingo on #3! You're right, it's a Spectacled Owl.

Now for the others. No. 4 is an Alcid! I'll let you guys keep guessing on the 'large' gull.

Ding, ding, ding! Correct, Atricapillus.

Well everyone, this concludes another one of my quiz sessions. Thanks for participating... hope I can return soon.

Okay, I'm back with a big batch of new photos. Let's start with four. So get ready, get set, GO!

Two down!

Yes please, but in the meantime, White Ibis, Forster's Tern, ?, Osprey.

Dave J

p.s. can't believe you're listening to The The!

Well those certainly are good guesses there Dave, White Ibis and Forster's Tern are indeed correct! As for the remaining two, I'll ease your pain a bit and recrop them...

Oh and by the way, what's the matter with The The? ;) I like them! I guess my musical tastes are pretty eclectic for a young'un. :'D

A sad looking crake or rail, Crested Caracara.

Dave J

p.s. as you say, nothing wrong with The The, Mind Bomb is excellent, just wouldn't expect a young American to be listening to stuff like that, Good for you!
