England maybe a thrush ID (1 Viewer)

This was in a hawthorn with a blackbird and difficult to see. I thought it might be a redwing but I could not get a view of the head and it is not very red! None of the thrush pictures I have seen include a rear view like this (not unreasonably so).

Just goes to show that sometimes, when we 'expect' to see something, we make life far more difficult for ourselves than needs be. * EDIT* am laughing with you, not at you - because I have done just this very thing myself.
