How did they make the SFL so much lighter than the SF? (1 Viewer)

By skimping on the glass

Sarcasm aside, which I did find funny. But this is bas true. First the binoculars are smaller/shorter, thinner magnesium, less glass elements ad up to a smaller lighter binocular with more CA, less sharp edges and smaller FOV. But still an extremely nice package.
