187 was an osprey I saw a month ago from a car and forgot to write down
186 was scissor tailed flycatcher, rarity locally
 
This morning at a local lake, I added a regional rarity to my Year List, which is now up to 415.

An addition at last.......

235 Red-necked Phalarope Swithland Res 26/08

Off down to clotted cream and pasty land for two weeks this aft, so hopefully I will have a few more to report when I get back.

Got a new lifer,Lead coloured flycatcher.I saw it at Oldonyo sabuk National park.I also saw Hindes babbblers which are endemic to Kenya.In the IBA'S of Kenya the site is not recognised and i feel that more should be done.I had a total of 19 babbler in 3 different families with in the parks environ.
 
Shorebirds are starting to move in in good numbers and variety. I got four year ticks this morning, bringing my Year List up to 419.

In addition to the birds listed above, I added Sanderling to my ABA Area and Indiana year lists, both of which are now at 230. (I had seen Sanderling in Honduras last March).

With the day off work due to the Labor Day holiday, I went out again this morning to look for shorebirds. I got two year ticks, one of which was an Indiana state lifer (Western Sandpiper). My Year List is now up to 421, and my Indiana list is at 289.

#233 White-rumped Sandpiper. 30 of them.

(last week added 231 Sandwich Tern and 232 Sanderling)
