Isle of Wight UK Juvenile Tufted Duck ? (1 Viewer)

Yesterday on the Isle of Wight. Appears to be a juvenile Tufted Duck, but eye colouring not quite as the books indicate ?

Yes,
its a Tufted Duck, yiu can see an indication of Tuft feathers. Having said that, I agree with you that there are Tufted Duck in september with duller or browner/darker eye-colour than yours with adult-like pale yellow colouration.
But I leave ageing of your Tufted Duck to more experienced people.
