The pictures seem to be foxes, not Golden Jackals.
But that is beside the point. If this has any basis is truth, then it encumbant upon us to speedily alert Priti Patel, so she can commence a program of sending them to the island of Reunion or some where else, as illegal immigrants.

Yep. The "heron" is a Marabou stork of course. I'm impressed if the jackal did manage to finally subdue it. Makes you wonder why marabous are so blase at carrion when there are jackals around.
 
My computer says no to the Daily Star – pleasingly.
I can't imagine them taking the Channel Tunnel, but I am ready to be surprised.

According to a Dutch bird researcher who now lives in Estonia where Golden Jackals have established themselves, they readily take sheep and any soothing words from "experts" to the contrary are not to be believed.
