Ringing on Comino, Malta (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

just would like to share some photos of birds we ringed last week-end on the island of Comino, Malta. Birdlife Malta operates a ringing station in the last two weeks of October and during spring also

The highlight was the ringing of 2 female Moussier's Redstarts, first ringed birds for the species locally. also if I'm not mistaken these are the 12th and 13th record for Malta too as its listed as a vagrant

So far this October, 700 birds have been ringed of over 25 species

Total up to 1507 for the autumn ringing scheme on Comino from the 15th to the 30th. Constant migration of Robins this weekend, with 166 ringed on Saturday. Other good birds this weekend were 3 Skylarks, 19 Song Thrush, 2 Blackbirds, 2 Firecrests, 2 Chaffinches and 4 Dunnocks
