Another seven this month so far including a UK lifer - Stone Curlew. Another distant view without bins of a Red Kite when visiting relatives in Reading on a day trip to a country park in Hampshire - 3rd time I've seen them, twice before in a car along M4, but sightings so poor I've yet to tick it.

A female Brambling was a nice surprise at Lackford, and to watch Stone Curlew with two Buzzards being harassed by corvids in the distance and two Wood Larks singing was an awesome experience.

140. Common Buzzard

Cetti's Warbler at Beesands and Slapton. Missed a Short-eared Owl far too closely though.

A species dear to my heart - 'twas my first BB rarity, at Stodmarsh way back in 1978, viewed through very ancient ex-army 7x50's inherited from my Grandad......so it was probably a Canada Goose, not a Blue-winged Teal.....

Quite unexpected Dartford Warbler today - 139
