The forthcoming Pearman fieldguide to Argentina is one of the most needed books there is. Also one of the most delayed unfortunately.

Pearman and Areta Field guide might come out next year. I will also recommend Birds of south east Brazil for NE Argentina and Birds of Bolivia for NW.

I used Mata, Erize and Ramboll and the Tudor and Ridgely with success

Narosky is handy for the calls CD, and the entertainment value of the illustrations not looking like the birds very much.
