Which Monopod Head? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I have a Manfrotto 680B monopod and want to get a head for it. The 'standard' head seems to be the 234rc but th emanfrotto site states this os only rated to hold 2.5kg - my camera and 400mm lens combined exceeds this.

Any recommendations to hold, say up to 5kg?
Thanks,
Chris

That 393 seems like an awfully large thing to have on the top of a monopod, although it is very nice looking. The only thing that the 234 does is tilt, so I'm wondering what exactly would happen if you mounted something that is somewhat heavier than it is supposed to handle. In use, you kind of hold the camera, loosen the knob, reposition the camera to the angle you want, and tighten the knob. So it isn't like it is constantly being adjusted. My guess would be that you could use it even with the equipment you have.

I have been using a 234RC head on a 680B monopod for my 400mm f5.6 for a couple of years now with no problems - its a nice combo. Of course my lens and Camera (30/40D) do not exceed 2.5 kg.
