Hi Guys and Girls. I live on the NE Scottish moors, no neighbours, and surrounded by wildlife. I have had telescopes, cheap Binoculars, and then moved to Canon Stabilised, which I recently sold, and now have Fujinon 14.42 Stabilised. For me, these are the best I have owned so far, and the stabilisation is better than the Canon. Buzzards are a common sight, a Sea Eagle appears several times a month in the Garden, there a a couple of Cuckoos, and a couple of Owls around the place, plus a woodpecker, plenty of Phesants, except when the deer wander past, and that seems to spook everyone!.

Hi Youngarthur, welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group. Sounds like you live in a wonderful area.

Hi Arthur and a warm welcome from me too.

All things Scottish can be found here. Also, keep an eye on threads titled something like Scottish Bashes; we try to meet up occasionally and they're always great fun. You'd be most welcome to join us on another if you can manage.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
