Corfu, Greece

Overview

At 914m this is the highest point on Corfu and the slopes above the road are well-known as a site for Cretzschmar's Bunting.

Notable Species

Other species found here include Bonelli's Eagle and Rock Partridge, Eastern Black-eared Wheatear, both rock thrushes and Western Rock Nuthatch. As well as Cretzschmar's there are Cirl Bunting and Ortolan Bunting.

Access and Facilities

Follow the main coast road north of Kerkira until turning left at Pirgi towards Spartilas and from there turn right to Petalia. Towards the summit the road becomes rough and from here it is best to proceed on foot.
