Dipper
This weeks walk along the river (the last day of the current spell of good weather unfortunately).

There's still a good covering of leaves on the trees, and although I could hear little things calling, nothing came into view for identity.

No Dippers at spot 1, so walked down to spot 2, then 2 and a bit, still nothing. Has the frosty mornings moved them on? Though they're usually here all the year. Hmmm... As I was about to leave.... whoosh... one flies in and sits on a rock.

Took one picture, then "Battery empty",

**** I said.

I always put fresh batteries in my pocket before I set off but....

It happens to us all Delia ! It's good that you were able to capture this little beauty in a lovely setting before your batteries ran out. A superb composition and a great narrative. Thanks for sharing.
