Grey-headed (or Grey-faced) Woodpecker
I'm back to the winter of 2007 and my first trip abroad for many years.

The temperature was around -16c but clear blue skies. Fortunately Jos has a heated cabin in his forest though the windows steam up on occasion.

We'd been watching Lesser and Middle (both Lifers for me) as well as Great Spotted Woodies on the feeders and he said that if a Grey-headed came I was not to move as they were very shy.

Then wowee she arrived. I did manage to get a couple of shots (through the window) when she was feeding, so very much a record shot.
