Messy eater
When this guy come to the window, I noticed lots of bits dropping from his bill, so got snapping.

OK some of the bits in the picture are on the window (mostly from an earlier visit when it was raining) but that big dollop to the left is what he spat out, along with the white bits under his bill! This is one great advantage of continuous shooting, as the husks falling wouldn't have been so noticeable.

Such a pleasure to get this guy, they only seem to come in once or twice a year. And early October was a good period with a few 'occasionals' arriving.

you should see how the male weaver here eat, and what he does to the others at the feeder. lol some of there little birds turn monsters when they see food.

Lovely shot and caption Delia, many tfs and the same here they drop more than they eat.
 
Such pretty little birds. A delightful image of one of my favourite garden visitors, Delia. They do the same here and the blackbirds have taken to sitting under the feeders picking up some of the seeds they drop. Best Wishes.
