Nooo - move it the other way
Remember those days when Dad had to go up and shift the tv aerial about to get the signal. Otherwise you had to pay for someone to do it.

It seemed to happen quite a lot when I was a kid. Satellite dishes don't seem to move, do they.

Another memory from those days was the interference from some cars (white spots all over the screen) and also the planes approaching Heathrow; the picture went all wonky!

those were the days, Delia!! the herring gull looks quite menacing, doesn't seem to like the tv aerial too much. great photo, many tfs!!!

a great aerial shot delia...lol...yep and when you put the news on you missed half of it due to the tv set got to warm up....good old days.......

Great Saturday shot Delia, Tfs mf

Remember with a Portable Television you had to walk around the room with the aerial to get a signal, and even hold it out the window, LOL

This gull seems to be keeping watch on these ugly fixtures. It looks quite stern. Thanks for the memories, Delia. I wouldn't have liked to see my father climb on the roof to fix the aerial.Mind you, my parents got a TV set quite late in life so things must have got better by then and I was away in England then!

...and your hand was the remote control. A wonderful well focused SF capture Delia, well done.
