Northern Parula
Immature females such as this have a greenish-olive wash on their head and back. They also lack the chestnut breast band of the adult males. Formerly included with the Tropical Parula in the genus "Parula," both were moved to the genus "Setophaga" in 2011 (52nd AOU Check-List Supplement). Although based on genetic studies, this decision loses the distinctiveness of these two closely related species and would seem to have been unnecessary except for the presumed need to keep "Setophaga" monophyletic. I think this is one of the most mispronounced bird names in North America. It should be "PAR-you-lah." See: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/crows/birdname.htm
