Will wait to hear about a weekend venue where they will be shown in South East.
Falco,
I will keep you posted on where they will be available to view.
Thanks Rob. Much appreciated.
Thanks Rob. Do you know when they will get their first stocks?
My plan is to take along my Nikon Monarch 8x42's (Mk3) and test them alongside:
Hawke Frontier ED 8x43
Opticron BGA HD 8x42
Opticron ED-X 8x42
The plan will be to buy the winners and return the Nikon's shortly afterwards - I have until end of Jan to return them via Amazon.
I recently had bought the Hawke's in order to test them alongside My Nikon's in the field but they went faulty within an hour; left barrel stopped focussing :-(
RRP is £299 for 8x42 and £309 for 10x42. There will be full info with pics and all the usual stuff on the Opticron website very soon... will keep you all posted.
£309 for the 10x42 ED-X ! This is around £100-£120 cheaper than the BGA HD ! Is that right or am I missing something ?

That's right, your not missing anything.
Thanks Chris.
Just wanted to know more about how it sits amongst the range given it's ED glass, yet it being cheaper than many others that don't have ED glass.
I guess specs, design, materials, performance would answer that query ;-)
